Schnitzel - AL

Schnitzel's furever mom Christine sends this update:  Schnitzel is doing great!. We love him so much. My son thinks he's his brother. It's so adorable to watch the two of them play. Schnitzel loves to play fetch and absolutely loves running around the back yard as fast as he can. He's a little love bug. I couldn't imagine him not being a part of our family. It did take a little while for our other dog Pico to get used to sharing his home, but they are doing so well with each other now. I couldn't be happier.

Skippy - RI

"We adopted Roscoe (formerly known as Skippy) back in August 2011 and we couldn't be happier! Roscoe has the biggest heart and loves to shower everyone with kisses! He fits in so well with our family because he is SUCH a snuggle bug! When we come home from work he just crawls right underneath our blankets and onto our laps and spends the night relaxing with us! He also loves our big yard. This tiny 15 lb dog has the whole thing to himself! Whether its chasing squirrels, digging for worms, or just basking in the sun... he could spend hours outside! Roscoe is so healthy and happy in our home and we are EXTREMELY grateful that we were able to rescue him! He is such a joy and just brings a smile to everyone's face! I can't thank Furever Dachshund Rescue enough for bringing this little man into our lives!"
I have also attached a picture of our little guy! Thanks, Deanna and Pete

Sassy - SC

From Tina, Sassy's new furever mom... We love our Sassy! As her foster mom, I just couldn’t let her go! She is doing great, though now that she is our Furever girl and not just our foster, she is showing her bossy side ;-) We’re still working on sitting, but her manners have improved two-fold since coming into our care! I’ve attached a picture of her with her little brother Peet from Christmas morning, they just couldn’t bear to get up yet! Sassy is the silver dapple and Peet is the chocolate dapple.

Sandy

Jan updates us on her new addition, Sandy! "we are doing so well.. i love her so much.. she is my lil treasure.. wanted to share a pic with you..."

Stella - RI

Stella was part of our new Furever Friends Program. Joe tells us that Stella is really adjusting well. She and our pug Winston are getting along great. We took Stella to the vet this week and she is up to 21.5lbs. Now that Stella is comfortable in her new home she loves to explore the backyard and play with Winston. We started training with her on Saturday and she is picking things up quickly. We will definitely keep you posted with how everything is going with her.
