BIO:

My name is Skippy and I was found in Tennessee on the side of the busy road with my brother. We had been scavenging for food and trying to stay safe and alive for quite a while. Times have been very tough for my brother and me but now we are safe in our new foster homes. When we were on our own, we got bit by many fleas and other bugs and had no protection from the environment so we ended up with allergies and extreme hair loss. We are much better now and have been treated with medicine and we are being fed a healthy diet. So now we are waiting for our hair to grow back to its original beauty.

I am the bigger brother and it was my responsibility to protect my little brother. I had to be very aggressive in the wild but I am now learning that I can trust people and I actually like them a lot. I give great kisses and I really enjoy sitting on a nice warm lap. I am still getting used to other dogs and socialization is something that I am learning every day. I still get protective when approached by other dogs but my behavior is getting much better and I have made huge improvements in just 2 weeks. I am completely crate trained and house trained too! I am so grateful that I don’t have to dig for my food anymore and that I have a home that gives me all the things I need. I even got a beautiful new collar and blankets and toys and sooooo much love. This is heaven compared to the life I had before. Please adopt me and give me a wonderful home that I can enjoy for the rest of my life. I really do deserve to have a great life after all the struggle I have been through. Oh, and don’t forget to look at all my adorable pictures too!
