Hi! My name is Emma! Or Ems or MM or Emmy. Any of them will make me jump up and take note that there might be something especially good awaiting me. You should see my ears perk up when I hear “Treat”.  I’m a 15 month old purebred, long and lean, dachshund female. I’m a bundle of energy and fast as lightening. I love, love, love, did I say I love? to play. I was pulled from the kill shelter in the nick of time. I was with a temporary foster for a couple of weeks until I went to the beach to stay with my new foster mommy. But, I sometimes liked to get into mischief chewing on little things I shouldn’t that she had to crate me while she was at work.  The only thing was when she got home and let me out I was a bundle of energy waiting to let loose. So it was decided that I was better off where I had free reign of the house so that I could run and play all day. After my new foster parents learned of my little sneakiness with chewing on pens/pencils they got me several hard chew toys and hide all the things I shouldn’t play with. Now all is fine and dandy. I have two playmates and I keep them going most of the day.

I am quite cunning when I allure them into a Dachsie run. They can never figure out which way I’m going to go. I love riding in the car, love long walks on the leash and love playing with my dachshund friends. I love eating and can eat and eat and eat. I’m a little food aggressive…I mean, can you blame me?! Look at my hourglass figure. I can eat and eat and not gain because I love playing so much. I love chew toys and playing tug of war with my doggie friends or wrestling with them.  I like to play keep away. I love treats and my foster dad is working on some tricks with me. I love sleeping on a big pillow on the floor or doggie bed/pet cave and of course in the bed. I don’t love the cage, but I tolerate it. I love rolling in the grass or on the carpet. I like digging a lot too. I’ve been talked to about that already! I get in the kitchen garbage if you leave it out. You just need to keep an eye on me. I’m sneaky.  A few squirts from the water bottle works great. I’ve had some potty issues, but I am learning fast to do my business outside as long as kept on a schedule or I can use a peepee pad.  I am also a wonderful love bug and enjoy pets and hugs and kisses. Please look at my pictures and videos and let us know if you think I would make a good addition to your family. I can’t wait to hear from you!
