BIO: (5-25-2012)

Heidi is a very sweet senior female Dachshund who loves to be cuddled and petted.  Heidi’s front teeth are completely worn down, but she does have intact molars.  Heidi’s tail wags constantly and she is extremely talkative.  She loves chewing rawhide twists, and the lack of front teeth does not keep her from enjoying them.  She also loves cat food, and I have to keep the cats’ food bowls out of her reach.  She enjoys running through the fallen leaves in the backyard, barking as she goes.  I don’t allow her to jump, and lift her up onto the sofa and down to the floor as needed.  I believe that Heidi has an allergy to fleas, so I feel it imperative that she be given regular flea prevention medication.

I have two cats who spend a great deal of time hanging around Heidi.  The only time Heidi becomes concerned is when one of the cats tries to share her meal.  Heidi is a little snappy if someone tries to reach in at her if she is in a cage or kennel (at the vet or traveling in a kennel) so you will have to be careful of that.  She does not do that if she is out and can greet someone on her terms.  She is a very happy dog and deserves the best possible forever home.  If I didn’t already have so many dogs of my own, I couldn’t bear to part with Heidi.  Please give Heidi a furever home to spend her senior years!
