BIO:

Hi there, My name is Lulu and I’m looking for a furever home.  When you first meet me I am very shy, but with patience and time, you will eventually capture my heart.

I’m insecure when it comes to meeting new people and encountering new situations. I often look to the people I know/trust for comfort. But in order for me to overcome these fears, I will need a family that will not coddle me, during these times.  Knowing what expected (limits, rules and boundaries) helps ease my fears and will help me in becoming a more independent dog.

I would love to find a home where I would have a well mannered, outgoing canine companion to spend time with. I could learn a lot and eventually be more confident by watching the way they interact in the daily world.

I’m completely house broken and not like your typical little dog, that has to be let out every 2-3hrs. I’m crate trained, walk well on the leash and am looking forward to showing you what a sweet addition to your family I can be!

We encourage adopters from all over the greater New England Area and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
