BIO:

Hello everyone. My name is Bonnie. I know I know, I’m a boy dog.  My current mom is Japanese and she did not know Bonnie is girl’s name. But I’m a cute handsome boy dog and I love my name. They call me “Bon” or “Bongo” too. I have beautiful long hair, especially on my ears when it turns darker. I get at least one compliment every day on my cute face. I’m about 14 pounds and super healthy. I don’t have any physical problems and even though I’m 9 years old, I play and eat like young man : )
I love to curl up on warm laps and sleep. I love it more when you rub my tummy while I relax. I have fun walking with you through the neighborhood and I don’t bark a lot (only when strangers show up). I never ever chew stuff. I can do my business outside, plus I can even tell you when I need to go! I know many tricks to make you smile like rolling over other games.
Now for the serious part: I need a new loving home. My owners just had little baby girl, and I’m used to being the “baby” of the house. Of course my new owners love me very much and need to know I’m going to a home where I am appreciated and loved.
I just have so much love to give and know I can make my new owners so happy!  If I can come and live with you please fill out an adoption application today!

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
