Link is a beautiful red boy. He has a very distinct look that is almost like a greyhound, we had to check his AKC paperwork to make sure he was a pure dachshund – he is!!! He came to us from an owner surrender in Georgia. Link had never really lived with a pack so it took him a little time to adjust to so many other dogs in the home but he is making the transition well. He is learning how to play with the other dogs instead of just watching them play. Link would do very well in a home that had a good pack leader that would give him the leadership he needs to be a good companion. He really loves to lay in your lap and be loved on or he could sit on the back of the couch by his self – either way he is happy. He enjoys going in and out of the doggie door and is housebroken. Link LOVES LOVES LOVES to walk – he would be a great fit for someone who can walk him everyday because he has lots of energy – he could even be a great fit for someone who is a runner!!!!
Each day, Link shows more and more love. He does NOT like a crate but he never chews or tear up anything when he is left out. He sleeps very good in the big bed all night! He has really proven to be a great little boy. He could go to a home as an only dog or as one of a small pack. Can you provide Link with a furever home?
We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law. Thank you for supporting a dachshund in need.
If you would like additional information or have any questions, please feel free to contact the foster family directly. They will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
