BIO:  My name is Scooter and I am a cute, young dachshund. I am very sweet and sociable and I love, love, love people and other dogs. I’ve never been around cats so I’m not sure if we would get along. I came from a shelter with my buddy and co-pilot, Yogi. We made the trip to Massachusetts together and arrived safe and sound. We immediately went through quarantine and then the nice veterinarian cleaned our teeth and neutered us. That part wasn’t so nice but my teeth are really white!

I have made so many friends at my foster home and everyone who meets me really likes me. I was even on Facebook with Yogi and everyone said such nice things about me. I was famous! I am very sweet and loving but I like to play too! I was diagnosed heart worm positive so my doctor is treating me. I am on daily antibiotics for 30 days and then I have my first treatment. I won’t be allowed to go to my furever home until my treatments are completed but I wanted everyone to see how beautiful and wonderful I am so they have the opportunity to adopt me.

I am a wonderful and genuine boy and would make an awesome companion. Please consider adopting me!

If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
