BIO:

Hi! My name is Tink (that’s short for Tinkerbell)!

First I just want to “thank” FDR and all my vets! Why, you ask? Well, here is my story: My real momma had to give me up because she found herself without a home for us. She was finally able to get into a women’s shelter, but they wouldn’t let her bring me with! So, not knowing what else to do, she took me to a vet’s office and asked them to put me down (I was a little scared) because not only did we not have a home, but I also had what they called glaucoma in my eye! My right eye was really big, it hurt the inside of my head, and I couldn’t see out of it either. Well, the vets made a phone call to my foster momma, and she called FDR, and you know what happened?? Between all of them, they made the pain in my head go away and got me a place to stay so I didn’t have to be put down! (How cool is that!!)

I now live with my foster momma & foster daddy. Oh, did I mention that I also have 3 other doxies to play with now too (they are all boys, but I still like them anyways!). My foster momma says I’m a good “talker”. I can make noises in my throat when she says “talk to me, Tink”! I don’t usually bark unless one of my new “brothers” bark… which is usually when some one pulls into the drive or knocks on the door. I also bark at new people, but my tail is always wagging and I am eager to meet them once I know they are nice! I LOVE to go for walks and I like to play fetch with toys. I can be a little stingy sometimes with my toys! My foster momma says that I need to work on sharing! I can also shake your hand if you hold it out for me to reach! (Did I mention that I LOVE to go for walks!)

So you see, even though I have only one eye now, I get along just fine! Just like any dog with two eyes! My favorite part of the day is cuddling with my foster momma and my new “brothers” in the big chair (with a fluffy blanket of course)! I don’t mind being in a crate/kennel, but, I REALLY don’t like it! I prefer to sleep in the big bed with my new “brothers” and my foster momma (I sleep the entire night without getting up)! I’m still learning the routine around here, so my foster momma takes me out every 2-3 hours to go potty, at least until I get used to everything. So far I haven’t had any accidents in the house (she always says “good girl,Tink!” after I go potty). My foster momma says I have a really good attitude and that I am always a happy girl!

If you want to know more about me, please email my foster momma! She’s learning something new about me each day!
