BIO:

Calvin is a relatively young Dachshund that was picked up off the side of the road in Georgia. His good samaritan had all of his vet work done and then surrendered him to us to help him find a furever home. Calvin is a great guy with the best personality you could ask for! He is always cool and calm and very friendly. He is good with kids and doesn’t let much get to him. Calvin is also incredibly handsome and your heart will melt when you see his sweet brown eyes and his soft shiny pretty red coat. Calvin’s legs are a little longer than most Dachshunds but that is common with Dachshunds bred in the south. He still has that gorgeous classic wiener dog look and has an equally great personality to go along with it. Calvin is pretty quiet and will only bark if there is someone at the door or the door bell rings. He loves to be held and sleeps very close to you at night. It’s not uncommon to find him in the nearest lap available sprawled on his back with his eyes closed and his front legs folded on his chest. He is truly an awesome guy and will make the pet of a lifetime for someone. We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
