BIO:  Barbie is a very sweet little girl. She survived being used as a breeder dog her whole life, and is ready to peacefully enjoy her golden years. She gets along very well with the 5 dogs & 3 cats in her foster home.  She loves to sit on your lap, and get loved on.  She also adores getting  kisses and to be carried around.  She is crate trained and happily goes in when it’s time for you to leave.  Because of her circumstances growing up, she had a slight issue with “marking” things when she first arrived at her foster home. This has since ceased, and now she just has an occasional accident.  Barbie would love to be your new family member.  She has so much love to give the right person or family. Could it be you?

We encourage adopters from all over the United States and will do our absolute best to accommodate you in arranging for transportation if you choose to adopt a dachshund from FDR. If your dachshund of choice is coming from a state other than the one you reside in, there will be an additional $40.00 Health Certificate Fee that is required by law.
